CLAUS PORTO

CREATING ART WITH FRAGRANCE

The roots of Claus Porto go back to 1887, two German gentleman and a beautiful, historic Portuguese city. The marriage of these two European identities went on to create a venerable beauty and fragrance house, that is celebrating its 130th anniversary in 2017.

Throughout a little more than 100 years and 4 generations, ups and downs, glory and defeat, Claus Porto prevailed authentic, developing its expertise in perfumes and cosmetics, a crafting philosophy and an incredible portfolio of hand-made colourful labels and patterns, each carrying a unique perso nali ty.

Today the brand is present in more than 60 countries, being sold in the best stores around the world as Harrods (UK), The Galeria (South Korea), 10 Corso Como (Shanghai), Galleries Lafayette and Le Bon Marché (France), Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus (USA), carrying this art of fragrance made in Portugal to the world.

THE CRAFTMANSHIP

The production process has strict and certified quality controls, covering every stage from the selection of ingredients to the final packaging.

The soaps are manually wrapped in their unique vintage labels. The eye-catching packaging of Claus Porto soaps is inspired by our extensive archive of hand-drawn artwork with its roots in the rich culture of pre-republican Portugal and the opulent aesthetics of Europe’s Belle Époque.

BANHO Citron Verbena

Banho's scent boosts the fresh, citric aroma of lemon and verbena. This combined with musk to add depth to this breeezy fragrance. It is presented in china blue and orange packaging, that is evocative of Portugal's Azulejo (ceramic) tiles.
